IT Training

Newmemory is the inventor of One-Hour Modularised Training.  The only Microsoft Office training that delivers just the right training to the right people.

You no longer have to waste time and money on training you don’t need

Because conventional applications training is rigid and delivers more training than is needed, One-hour Modularised Training™ is focused on the specific training needs of individuals in your organisation. A world first, we deliver a program that tailors itself to the needs of your staff. You only pay for the Skills needed.

One-Hour Model

Our training is based on a One-Hour model.  Like chapters in a book we break down all the topics across any desktop application into One-Hour training blocks. Students/Managers then choose only the skills they need to learn, not wasting time learning features they will never use.

This service is delivered on a per day basis, each day consisting of 6 One-Hour sessions. Students only attend the topics relevant to them.  Training is on any desktop application, training up to 10 people in each session.  Within each session students receive a useful tip sheet that has just the steps necessary to apply the skills they have acquired.  Training is on your site to save time and travel costs.

End to End Delivery

  1. A list of Skill Sets (topics) grouped by application is published or distributed to all staff.
  2. Staff/Managers select the topics they need to learn.
  3. The number of One-Hour sessions and training days is determined.
  4. Dates for training are booked and confirmed.
  5. Staff attend the One-Hour session(s) they require.

Methodology

  • The One-Hour model concentrates on topics that are specific to the individual.
  • Shorter sessions increase retention and reduce disruptive impact on work schedules.
  • Students can learn the information and then return to work applying the knowledge immediately with their Reference Guides
  • Topics are covered in depth, not glossed over.
  • We have hand-selected the best trainers in the industry who are skilled in the use of mnemonics and effective delivery techniques to ensure the information is retained and used after the course.

Training Day Example

  • 9:00 am – 10:00 am         Session 1 – Formulas & Absolute Reference (Excel)
  • 10:15 am – 11:15 am          Session 2 – Advanced Email (Outlook)
  • 11:30 am – 12:30 pm        Session 3 – Mail Merge (Word)
  • 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm           Session 4 – Pivot Tables (Excel)
  • 2:45 pm – 3:45 pm           Session 5 – Sorting & Filtering (Excel)
  • 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm          Session 6 – Tables (Word)

What our Clients Say About Us

Feedback

We receive volumes of emails from our students thanking us for the ‘best training they have attended’.  Please contact us if you would like to speak to any of our happy clients:Anthony Karolis, Sensis IT wrote about our Leadership course:

“I’d like to reiterate how much benefit I received from attending your course over the past three days. I want to give you some feedback.  Without going overboard, it was a life changing experience for me. I have taken away so much from your course, and it is amazing how quickly I have been able to incorporate what I have learnt into my personal life, as well as working life.

I am realising areas of my behaviour that have been wrong and feel I have the beginnings of the skills to correct them. The component on “listening” was brilliant. I got so much benefit from that, and again, it’s a life changer!! Can’t tell you enough!!…improvements will most likely be a flow on from correcting my own behaviour and attitude.

Your course is brilliant, and I haven’t stopped raving about it to everyone since I have been back. I am going to recommend all my colleagues go on it!

A good friend and mentor of mine – Martin Arango – participated in your course a few years back and he changed because of it – I remember it was quite a dramatic change too. He was always recommending I do it, and now that I have, I can see why he is the person that he is today. We spoke this morning, and he still vividly recounted elements from your course.

Again, I don’t want to go overboard, but at my age, it’s rare for me to experience something that has such a profound impact. I’m sure it’s a credit to your hard work and study over the years. I felt compelled to write this email and express my gratitude. All the best.”

Rob Philipp, Senior Manager at Westpac, wrote about our Presentation Skills course:

“I just wanted to let you know that I have had a couple of really successful presentations over the last 2 weeks including the one we had worked on to about 100 people today. I took your advice around pausing & breathing, having a couple of mantras and telling myself this will be easy to fix.  I’m feeling really good about it all and am enjoying presenting again. Many thanks for everything!”

Peter Szitarity, Price Waterhouse Coopers, wrote about our Leadership course:

“Guy is on top of his game. It is great to have someone that has life experience and not just books”

Rob Weir, Consultant at Professional Advantage wrote about our Time Management course:

“I wanted to thank you for making the course last Tuesday, extremely interesting and valuable.  After spending some time thinking about what I’d put in this email and after implementing some of your ideas, I have come to the conclusion, and can honestly say your Time Management course was the most beneficial and pertinent course I’ve ever been on.

You managed to create a great balance of humour and detail which kept me engaged for the whole day.  Something other courses tend not to be able to accomplish.  I was particularly interested in the memory section where you explained how the brain works.”

Kelly Dark, Event Coordinator at Sydney Olympic Park Authority, wrote:

“I would like to thank you for your time yesterday at our Time Management Course. I found this to be the most interesting course I have ever attended in terms of content and relevance to my own personal development. I have done other courses such as Landmark, intermediate and advanced and actually felt more motivated after walking out of your course yesterday.

You made me realise that difficult tasks can be made so much simpler by breaking them down and to start writing down my goals and ideas to make them more achievable. Usually my head is going at one hundred miles an hour and I waste so much time in thinking rather than acting.

The day went really quickly and I found the whole content really interesting especially how you made examples with your own life and other peoples stories and experiences. You could answer everyone’s questions and were really passionate about certain topics, it was clear how much you have researched and your knowledge on the subject, it really makes a difference.

I think the books you are writing will be really interesting and helpful and would like you to let me know when they will be out so I can read them.  Once again, thank you, the course was amazingly motivating and great for rebuilding the integrity.

Donna Brown, Solicitor with Phillips Fox, wrote:

“I have learnt so much in only a day and a half. I never thought I would master the skill of public speaking, thanks to you I now feel confident at presenting. The memory skills are invaluable; I will be able to use them in all areas of my life. Once again, thank you“
